The Asia Society
In summers 2007 and 2008, China Prep organized trips for the Asia Society’s International Studies Schools Network. Twelve students from this national network of public high schools traveled on each of these three-week trips to Beijing, Shanghai, and Yunnan in western China. Highlights of the trip included working on a Habitat for Humanity house in a rural village in Yunnan province, exploring art galleries in Beijing and Shanghai, shopping in a tea market in Kunming, and attending a cooking class in Beijing.

Lifestyle Art Project
Artist Steven Perkins joined the China Prep team on a journey to the Middle Kingdom to explore the modern developments of Shanghai, the culturally preserved Beijing and the ancient spiritual center of Hangzhou. The richness and depth of the China experience provides the backdrop for the creation of artwork. China LAP resulted in a series of 13 works of art on canvas.
