Founded in 2006, China Prep is an independent, U.S.-based company with representatives in New York and Shanghai. We started China Prep because we believe that it is vitally important for people to be exposed to China now, and that our common interest in the future makes deeper understanding and respect between Americans and Chinese critical to our mutual success.

Over the past thirty years, the Chinese economy has experienced unprecedented growth. China is on a trajectory of increasing power and influence, and every year brings it closer to the same superpower-status that the U.S. has enjoyed for decades. China Prep began by organizing trips for groups of high school students. Parents and former business contacts, however, began asking us if we would arrange trips for adults and families with the same strong educational focus of our youth trips. This demand led to launch of our custom trip offerings. At the core of every trip is an emphasis on providing deep insight into modern Chinese history and contemporary culture.
